The IUCLID 5 SNIF migration plugin helps you in reusing data previously entered in the DES or the NCD applications in the IUCLID 5 database.
The IUCLID 5 SNIF migration tool is now available for downloading at the IUCLID website. The tool is designed in such a way that the data contained in the SNIF export files are transferred to the IUCLID 5 format (either as substance dataset or dossiers depending on the user’s choice). The migrated data can then be imported into any IUCLID 5 installation.
The purpose of the SNIF migration tool is to make it as easy as possible to reuse data entered in the DES or the NCD applications in the IUCLID 5 database. This tool is provided as a plug-in that can be installed either in the standalone or the distributed versions of the IUCLID 5 application.
Please note that the potential users of this tool are previous notifiers of substances under Directive 67/548/EC. IUCLID 5 users who never created SNIF files or do not have to process these files do not need to install this new tool. Consequently we would not recommend installing this plugin unless it is really required by the user.
