Pesticides: EFSA recommends lower residue levels for several substances
EFSA has recommended lower Maximum Residue Levels for several active substances used in pesticides which the European Commission considered could have safety concerns for human health. EFSA’s risk assessment will support risk managers in reassessing the permitted levels.
Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) of concern for the below active substances – reasoned opinions of EFSA
- benfuracarb and carbosulfan
- carbendazim
- ethephon
- fenamiphos
- fenarimol
- methamidophos
- methomyl and thiodicarb
- oxydemeton-methyl
- pirimiphos-methyl
- procymidone
- vinclozolin
